New Orleans native and editorial cartoonist John Slade celebrates the release of his trade paperback The Collected Known Adventures of the Afro Brother Spacemen (published by Antenna!) with an installation featuring original cartoon artwork and prints. Having grown up on a steady diet of Warner Bros. and Hanna Barbera cartoons, Slade has invented a wild, weird, and satirical cartoon universe that will now be featured for the first time in an exhibition, alongside interpretations of Slade’s work by other New Orleans comics artist including Ceasar Meadows, Stylo Moniker, Ethan Heyer, Hal Mundane, and more!
