Searching for Effective Place-Based Storytelling

Please join “Dear Tulane and Broad” artist Melody Chang on Thursday, October 10th from 6:30-8:30pm at the Antenna Gallery for a conversation on effective storytelling about place – particularly site-specific, on-site, or experimental projects.

Using Dear Tulane and Broad installations as a point of departure, you’ll experience techniques of producing an effective experience of place. This conversation finds the building blocks of physical experience in the sensory inputs – sights, sounds, smells – that create instantaneous connection to place. As institutions push the boundaries of their visitor walls, media and technology used in exhibit settings are increasingly employed on-site, how can these tools be used to enhance the sensory experience of a place?
