Worn Again: Exhibition

Antenna is proud to present Worn Again, an exhibition featuring work by fashion designers that deconstruct the random recycled materials they are given to create innovative works of wearable art.

Junkfish Caviar

Junkfish Caviar is a series of sculptures made from salvaged or redeemed materials as well as photographs and an installation that explore a personal mythology. The show describes the possibility of finding treasure in the garbage or beauty in trauma: the ability to get something precious out of what is often considered worthless.

Dank Mirth

Dank Mirth is a series of colorful cartoon panel style acrylic paintings on sheets of raw burlap and double-sided 3D wooden comic-strip thought balloons suspended from the gallery’s ceiling. The title of the show refers to a particular style of gallows humor familiar to those who make their home in New Orleans. The show is Dank Mirth

Cuba, Now!

Antenna is proud to present Cuba, Now!, images from writer/photographer Richard Fleming’s book Walking to Guantanamo, as well as a screening of an excerpt from the film in progress, Uprising– Drums, Voice of Resistance with filmmaker William Sabourin O’Reilly. Book signing: Thursday, January 14th, 7:00 – 9:00 Cuba, Now! is part of a major citywide Cuba, Now!

Cruise by William Greiner

Antenna celebrates PhotoNOLA with the color photo series “Cruise” by William Greiner. CRUISE, shot on ships plying the vacation destinations of the Caribbean between 2002 – 2007, gives vivid glimpses into the world of the intentionally waterbound.
