Artist Talk and Crawfish Boil

Join us for an artist talk with Amelia Broussard facilitated by newest Antenna Team member, Jessica Johnson, to discuss Broussard’s first solo exhibition Pieces and Parts. Draw-A-Thon 2023 Recap!

Wow!! Draw-A-Thon 2023 was one for the books. Thank you to everyone who came out to doodle, play, explore, observe, and draw with us! We estimate that we had around 1,500 visitors throughout the 24 HRs. There were some amazing workshops – both spontaneous and planned, and lots of joy! Curatorial Fellowship 2024

In 2024, we are launching a Curatorial Fellowship to engage with national curators to facilitate connecting Louisiana artists to national art networks. This is an invitational curatorial residency. Over the course of two years, the invited curator will generate a curatorial statement for their residency and use this statement to guide the curation of three Curatorial Fellowship 2024

The 2023 annual 24-Hour Draw-A-Thon will be held on November 4th from 6:30 AM – 6:30 AM. Draw-A-Thon is Antenna’s annual 24-hour community art event with workshops and self-guided activities that encourage creating for the sake of creation! You do not have to consider yourself “a good drawer” to join. There is something for everyone. Save The Date!

24-Hour Comic Book Day

24-Hour Comic Book Day is an international event where people attempt to create a comic book in just 24 hours. Participants are to bring their own art supplies. John Slade, political cartoonist and comic creator will host the event. Comics-minded people are invited to try their luck. The event will be held at Antenna Gallery’s 24-Hour Comic Book Day

Community Volunteer Day!

We are looking for individuals to help with a community volunteer day – Sunday, September 24th from 12:00 – 5:00 at Paper Machine (6330 St. Claude Ave). Volunteers will be helping prepare materials for our annual Draw-A-Thon event. Volunteering activities will include creating a long paper chain, organizing markers and pens, cutting out paper for Community Volunteer Day!
