Dillard University hosts Black Arts Movement Conference this weekend

Dillard University and Harvard’s Hutchins Center are hosting the Black Arts Movement Conference this weekend, September 9-11, at Dillard’s campus (2601 Gentilly Blvd).

Artists, activists, and scholars come together with the shared goal of creating a supportive environment that promotes new research and dialogue on the Black Arts Movement.

Notable authors participating in the conference include Kelly Harris, Ishmael Reed, and Kalamu ya Salaam.
