Jon McCarthy (Hard Roll: A Paramedic's Perspective on Life and Death in New Orleans)

Join Jon McCarthy for the release of his book Hard Roll: A Paramedic’s Perspective on Life and Death in New Orleans at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, at Garden District Book Shop (2727 Prytania Street).

Hosted by the Garden District Book Shop, the event will include a panel discussion, wine and cheese, and a book signing. Jon McCarthy will be joined by “co-star” Sean Cerny and collaborator Anna Sites.

The event is free and open to the public. However, the signing will be exclusive to customers who have pre-ordered or purchased their books through Garden District Book Shop.

Jon McCarthy is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He has worked professionally in EMS since 1996. McCarthy is a co-creator of the New Orleans EMS Field Training program and has served as the lead field training officer for nearly five years.
