Exhibition Description:
Since 2013, Antenna has helped to foster the growth of Big Class, an organization dedicated to cultivating and supporting the voices of New Orleans’ writers ages 6-18 through creative collaborations with schools and communities. For the last three years Big Class has operated the Open Studio after-school program in the downstairs reading room at Antenna HQ, and this Fall the program will move with Big Class to a new dedicated space. For Mardi Gras After the Apocalypse, artists of the Antenna Collective and beyond celebrate this three year collaboration by developing work inspired by the stories of students in the Big Class Open Studio Program, each imagining what Mardi Gras would look like after the end of days.
