Paper Monuments’ History Unbound at New Orleans Public Library
The Paper Monuments Team invites you to a draw-in and write-in from 2 – 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, at the New Orleans Public Library (219 Loyola Avenue). We’re seeking your artistic ideas in response to the question, “What is an appropriate monument to the city of New Orleans today?”
We’ll be collecting Paper Monuments Public Proposals.
We’ll have art and modeling supplies.
We’ll have the musical support of Ellis Marsalis’ extensive record collection, courtesy of our wonderful partners at the New Orleans Public Library, in addition to curated access to the collections of the African American Resource Center and all the library has to offer.
We’ll be featuring the young scholars of Homer Plessy Elementary, participants in Big Class’ fantastic writing programs.
And we’ll even have food.
We can’t wait to see your ideas!
