Laura Gipson

Laura Gipson, a native of Maryland, has lived in New Orleans since 1980. She holds an MFA from the University of New Orleans. Her works are included in the collections of the Virlane Foundation, the City of New Orleans, Tulane Medical Center and private collections. Laura has taught at the University of New Orleans and she currently teaches Talented in Visual Art in the Jefferson Parish Public School System.

Thom Karamus

Thom earned an BFA from Pratt Institute and spent years in advertising film production in New York and Miami. He currently lives in New Orleans drawing comics and non-comics in ink, drinking coffee and playing Scrabble with his cat, Bob.

AnnieLaurie Erickson

AnnieLaurie Erickson is a New Orleans-based artist and educator. Through research in material studies, optics, and environmentalism, her work explores ways that science can inform lens-based creation. She is the head of photography and an associate professor in the Newcomb Art Department of Tulane University. Erickson’s work has been exhibited widely in the US and abroad, including Higher Pictures, NYC; the Goethe-Institut, Washington, DC; Contemporary Art Center, New Orleans; Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans; Acadiana Center for the Arts, Lafayette, LA; Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, NYC; Boston Center for the Arts; and CentrePasquArt, Bienne, Switzerland. Notable press includes The New Yorker, Huffington Post, Oxford American, Washington Post, Paper Magazine, Afterimage, and Foam Magazine. She received an ATLAS grant to develop her project Data Shadows and has been awarded residencies from Yaddo, A Studio in the Woods, and the Joan Mitchell Center. Erickson received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Angel

Angel was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in 1989 but later moved to New Orleans, Louisiana in 1996. He received his Bachelor of Arts in painting and print making from the University of New Orleans in May 2013. Angel has been in numerous group exhibitions at the UNO St.Claude Gallery, Dumois Gallery, Ogden Museum of Southern Art, Contemporary Art Center and has also shown nationally in a juried show at Parlor Gallery, New Jersey. In addition to his artistic endeavors, he enjoys cartoons and pizza.
