Queerspective: Past, Present, and Future

Take a look at queer arts and artists at Queerspective at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, at the New Orleans Community Print Shop (1201 Mazant Street).

A panel talk, facilitated by Kiernan Dunn, features Devin O. Saurus, Tela Love, Colin Roberson, and the Queer Cartography project.

Kiernan Dunn is a member if the New Orleans Community Print Shop. Combining printmaking with performative installations, her work invited the viewer into her utopian creation of nonexistent trust and fiction.

Tela La’Raine Love is a transgender activist in New Orleans. Tell is an advocate, minister, peer counselor, mentor, artist, HIV prevention specialist, facilitator, video blogger, and Co-FOunder of New Legacy Ministries.

Colin Roberson, a member of the New Orleans Community Print Shop, is an artist from New Orleans. His work has been shown in The Zeitgeist Gallery (New Orleans), The Ogden Museum of Southern Art (New Orleans), The Center for Fine Art Photography (Fort Collins), the gallery at the New Orleans Community Print Shop and Darkroom (New Orleans), Faubourg Art and Books (New Orleans), and Foster Gallery (Baton Rouge). His photographs have also been published in magazines such as Antigravity Magazine, Fader, Don/Dean, Pelican Bomb, and VIP Magazine.
