Sally Asher at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home

Writer and photographer Sally Asher will discuss some of New Orleans’ infamous characters and reveal their forgotten stories and where they are buried at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home (5100 Pontchartrain Boulevard). The event, which is free and open to the public, is presented by Save Our Cemeteries. Asher’s lecture will be punctuated by dramatic readings of historical sources by Kerry Cahill and Andrew Ward.
