Please join us at Press Street’s Second Annual CUPCAKE THROWDOWN & ARTIST CAKE WALK!

Book Arts with Yuka & Angela

Join SIFT at Press Street’s Antenna Gallery for a free, informal book arts workshop. Participants will select a non-traditional book structure and then create their own cut-up poem from found text. Using collage, rubber stamps, transfer type, and stencils, we will incorporate our cut-up poems into these one-of-a-kind artist’s books. All materials will be provided. Book Arts with Yuka & Angela

ASH COLUMN

Press Street’s Antenna Gallery presents ASH COLUMN – a new series of drawings by Angela Driscoll.  These graphite drawings reference still frames of an eruption of Anak Krakatau in Indonesia’s Sunda Strait. The volcanic eruption is a violent act. In these drawings, the eruption is prolonged in an effort to create a greater understanding of ASH COLUMN

BYOB: NEW ORLEANS

The Good Children Gallery will host BYOB: NEW ORLEANS, a one-night exhibition featuring a number of local artists that use projectors in their work. A selection of that work will also be available for viewing on the following day during regular gallery hours (Sunday, July 31st from12p-5p). Sum

Antenna is pleased to present “Sum,” featuring artists Angela Driscoll and Kevin H. Jones. Driscoll and Jones share an interest in reconfiguring natural and human-made systems. Driscoll’s Blog Drawings are based on information researched from weblog entries – specifically their language and grammar. These drawings of graphite and woven paper represent information gathered in a Sum
