Lorrie Moore kicks of a strong week of literary events in New Orleans with a reading at 7 p.m. tonight, Monday, March 2, in the Lavin-Bernick Student Center on Tulane University’s campus. Moore is the author of five collections of short stories and two novels. Photo Books at PhotoNOLA: A roundup

This year’s PhotoNOLA festival includes a panoply of offerings for lovers of photography books. The PhotoNOLA Education Day: Focus on Photo Books kicks things off on December 12 at the International House Hotel with a series of discussions and presentations. Poets Joel Dailey and Mark Statman will read from their new books at 7 p.m. this Thursday, September 5, at McKeown’s Books and Difficult Music (4737 Tchoupitoulas).
