Located at 6330 St. Claude in the Lower Ninth Word, Antenna:6330 hosts Paper Machine, Antenna’s printshop and book bindery which also serves as the binding hub of Antenna Press publications.

Paper Machine is committed to making publishing and book arts accessible to cultural contributors and cultural bearers in the Gulf South by providing tools and education for printing and bookbinding and publishing opportunities for individuals, organizations and community partners.

5 FREE Ways to Print at Paper Machine or Use the Antenna:6330

#1. PRINT:::As a Community Member OR a Community Partner:

Community Members: Paper Machine offers Gulf Coast individuals, businesses and community organizations the ability to print reports, posters, pamphlets, postcards, newsletter, books, and/or other print based projects of their design at a competitive local rate. If you are looking to print more than twice a year with Paper Machine, please see below on information about becoming a Community Printing Partner and receiving a 10% discount on all orders.

Community Partners: Paper Machine’s Community Printing Partnership gives Gulf Coast organizations a 10% discount after 2 bulk print jobs within a one year period. Please email print@antenna.works for more information about becoming one of our community partners.

#2. PRINT::: Self Publishing Printing Service (Small Run):

Antenna offers authors interested in self publishing the ability to print up to 500 copies of their original works at Paper Machine (a minimum of 20 copies must be ordered to utilize this service). For more information, please check out our self publishing form then make a request to meet with a PM team member by filling out this form. Please email print@antenna.works with any questions. 

#3 PRINT::: Pro Bono Printing for Individual & Grassroots Organization Printing (Click here for details) 

Anyone can come to Antenna:6330 during our regular business hours to 

  • USE THE COMMUNITY COMPUTER: People should call 504.397.2741 to check if the computer is available. The computer has internet access and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • USE THE COMMUNITY HOME PRINTER: Antenna:6330’s printer can print one sided, black and white pages on 8.5×11 or legal text weight paper. You can print as many pages as you’d like, but you must supply your own paper.
  • USE THE COMMUNITY SCANNER: Antenna:6330’s scanner can scan 8.5×11 paper with images up to 600dpi

In addition, Antenna offers free printing for the organizers of demonstrations, protests and other grassroots resistance efforts from activists, organizations and culture bearers. Antenna:6330 is able to offer two print projects per week for community members (for example: stacks of posters for protests, zines, flyers, postcards, newsletters and more). Please see this sheet for more specifications on our pro-bono printing capabilities. To be considered for ProBono production for print projects, please email us with your project printing needs AT LEAST 72 hours before your printing deadline (preferably the Monday before your deadline). The team will review and you will receive a response within 1-2 business days. REMINDER: Antenna:6330 is open Tuesday-Friday 10am-5:30pm

In selecting projects, we prioritize pro-bono print orders that share timely information regarding events, updates, and other printed material given to the public for free at events.

#4. SPACE:::Antenna’s Pro Bono Community Spaces

Antenna:6330 has two spaces it offers for community use.

UPSTAIRS: Antenna has a pro-bono community meeting space upstairs at Antenna:6330. This space has a large table with 6 chairs, access to a computer and a B+W printer. NOTE: Antenna:6330 is a 2 floor open air loft style space with Paper Machine, our print production facility on the 1st floor, and artist studios on the 2nd floor. Though the upstairs is mostly private, there may be some noise coming from Paper Machine and artists coming in and out of their studios.

DOWNSTAIRS: Antenna:6330 offers its downstairs room for community events and programs. To get in touch, fill out the Paper Machine Program proposal google form to make a space request.
