Sleeper Cell; book reading, signing, & workshop
byPoets & Writers presents a reading & performance of Michael “Quess?” Moore’s latest book followed, by a signing and workshop exploring identity politics and the crossroads where where micro aggressions meet macro-oppression.
Sleeper Cell is a collection of poems that investigate the institutionalized racism and disenfranchisement of Black youth and one poet’s radical ascension from that degradation. Quess? is a poet, educator, actor, playwright and activist. He is a 2-time national slam poetry championship title winner and founding member of Team SNO (Slam New Orleans).
The event will be held at Crescent City Books, 124 Baronne St.
