Library of the Ridiculous Closing Reception

Come see Eno Edet’s Library of the Ridiculous at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, at the Art Klub (1941 Arts Street).

Told from the perspective of the “have-not,” Mr. Eno’s book collection makes up what is called The Library of the Ridiculous.

Participants of all ages are invited to make books with Mr. Eno at the reception.

Eno Edet is a mixed media artist, making books and telling stories from anything, using materials from where his stories originate: The Streets. Born to Nigerian immigrants, Eno was raised in Georgia. He was “adopted” by the Living Theatre in New York and has settled in the Crescent City to unleash his brand of children’s books to and for the people of New Orleans.

Inspired by children’s authors such as Hans Christian Andersen, The Brothers Grimm, and also by Nigerian and Southern folktales, and by his experiences living on the fringes of society, Eno’s mission is to redefine the importance of children’s literature.
