Tennessee Williams Literary Festival 2017

Since 1986, the Tennessee Williams Literary Festival, coinciding with his birthday, has celebrated the playwright’s legacy and the city he made his home. From March 22 to March 26, multiple New Orleans locations will host incredible speakers, contests, and events.

This year’s speakers include Rick Bragg, Bryan Batt, Wally Lamb, Bev Marshall, John S. Bak, Jami Attenberg, Jeremy Lawrence, and more! Other events include musical performances and events featuring New Orleans’ top chefs.

Contests feature cash prizes up to $1500, including including poetry, fiction and one-act play contest. Finalists were chosen in late February and will be congratulated with prizes at the festival.

Don’t miss out on the famous “Stella!” (or, “Stanley!” if you prefer) shouting contest held in the French Quarter on March 26 at 4 p.m!

Tickets for the festival opening, master classes and panel passes are available on www.tennesseewilliams.net or by calling (504) 581-1144.
