Crypt Iguana is a comic book chronicling life in the historic Key West Cemetery in Key West, Florida from the perspective of one of the hundreds of nonnative Green Iguanas that inhabit the area. The project is both a tribute to and spoof of sci-fi and fantasy genres that employ man vs. nature tropes and seek to tap into the deep-seated fears humans attach to the natural world. The ancillary Crypt Iguana reading room replicates the comic’s setting, dropping readers into the very cemetery where the narrative unfolds.
