Congratulations, Rachel Kushner, National Book Award finalist (again!)

Rachel Kushner’s novel The Flamethrowers, from which she read last spring at a packed Room 220 Happy Hour Salon, has been named a finalist for this year’s National Book Award. This might feel a bit like Old Hat for Kushner, whose debut novel, Telex From Cuba, was a finalist for the 2008 National Book Award, but we’re excited for her anyway. She probably doesn’t feel like this is Old Hat.
