The Coronation (Corona-tion) is a meditation on this time of massive uncertainty and change, where having our personal and community vulnerabilities laid bare forces us to take inventory of what matters most. In this moment where profound loss and potential for change present themselves simultaneously, what does facing the idea of death each day teach us about what we want to live for? Macon Reed created the work in this exhibition to highlight this moment in hopes that we will not forget what we learned during this time.
