Dogfish presents Sam Ligon and Kate Lebo
The Dogfish Reading Series presents Sam Ligon and Kate Lebo at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, at Dogfish headquarters (2448 N. Villere St).
The event is free and open to the public.
Sam Ligon is the author of two novels–Among the Dead and Dreaming and Safe in Heaven Dead–and two collections of stories, Wonderland, illustrated by Stephen Knezovich, and Drift and Swerve. His stories have appeared in Prairie Schooner, The New England Review, Gulf Coast, New Orleans Review, and elsewhere. His essays appear in the Inlander. He’s the editor of Willow Springs and the artistic director of the Port Townsend Writers’ Conference. He teachers at Eastern Washington.
Kate Lebo is the author of two cookbooks, Pie School and A Commonplace Book of Pie. Her essays and poems have appeared in Best American Essays 2015, Best New Poets 2011, New England Review, and Willow Springs, among other places. Her most recent zine, From a Tree, is a collection of erasures from Wikipedia entries for fruits, vegetables, and herbs made in collaboration with book artist Dan Shafer.
