Update: Spillways Resident Dread Scott launches Kickstarter

Antenna::Spillways artist-in-residence Dread Scott and Antenna have several exciting developments to announce for his upcoming project, Slave Rebellion Reenactment!

Dread Scott recently launched a Kickstarter for Slave Rebellion Reenactment, which is well on its way to reaching its $40,000 goal. Support from individuals like you will be crucial to not only realizing the project, but in demonstrating our collective belief in an uncompromising vision of freedom. Whether you can give $5 or $500 or $5,000, head over to Kickstarter until December 8 to join Dread, Antenna, and the Army of the Enslaved in bringing this historic project to life!

Fresh on the heels of the Kickstarter launch, Slave Rebellion Reenactment has also been recently featured in Hyperallergic, W Magazine, and Artforum.

We’ve also been working with our friends at the local costuming nonprofit ricRACK to develop costumes to be worn by the Army of the Enslaved.
