ANTENNA TRANSITIONS TO CO-DIRECTOR LEADERSHIP MODEL::

Antenna is pleased to announce an important evolution in our leadership structure. After a multi year period of reflection and collective planning, Antenna will transition from a single Executive Director model to a three-Director model, a change that reflects our ongoing commitment to equity, collaboration, and community-centered leadership.

This new shared leadership structure distributes responsibility and decision-making across three Co-Directors, fostering a more equitable, sustainable, and resilient way of working. By moving away from a traditional hierarchical model, Antenna embraces an approach that mirrors the collaborative, artist-centered values that have always guided our work. Under the new model, Antenna will be led by:

Jessica Johnson (she/they) – Director of Exhibitions and Grants Initiatives
Jessica brings deep experience in arts administration, her interdisciplinary creative and curatorial practices, and community engagement experience to the role. Her leadership has strengthened Antenna’s artist-centered mission, expanding opportunities for local and national artists to share their work and connect with broader audiences.

Mónica Mejía Restrepo (she/her) – Director of Publishing and Printing Resources
Monica has been instrumental in shaping Antenna’s publishing and print-based platforms, supporting artists, writers, and independent publishers through Antenna Press and Paper Machine. With expertise in artist publishing, and printmaking, she brings both technical and conceptual depth to the role, ensuring Antenna continues to be a vital resource for artists working in text, print, and media.

carole frances lung (they/them) – Director of Operations
carole brings extensive experience in organizational strategy, art education, and socially engaged practice. As an artist, educator, & long-time advocate for labor equity in the arts, carole ensures that Antenna’s operational practices reflect the organization’s commitment to care, transparency, and sustainability. Their leadership strengthens the infrastructure that supports Antenna’s programs, staff, & community partnerships.

Together, Jessica, Mónica, and carole form a leadership collective that models shared responsibility, mutual respect, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. This structure is designed to create more equitable pathways for decision-making, support balanced workloads, and sustain the creativity and well-being of the entire Antenna team.

We are deeply grateful to all the artists, collective members, board members, staff, and community partners who have helped shape this next chapter. Together, we look forward to building a future that reflects Antenna’s belief that art, when organized collectively, can transform communities and institutions alike.
