“Did you know November 2025 marks 20 years since the first ever Draw-A-Thon?In the months following Hurricane Katrina, Brad Benischek, one of the founding members of Press Street (now known as Antenna), thought what the city really needed was a 24 hour drawing event.This event would be creation simply for the sake of creation – something completely ridiculous, but, at the same time, fun.

Out of this vision, Draw-A-Thon was created and over the last 20 years, it has been sustained by the participation and support of community members like you!This year, Draw-a-thon is stepping into an exciting new chapter as an independent creative force outside the umbrella of Antenna.

We are deeply grateful for Antenna’s support and shared mission of cultivating creativity and community and will carry that foundation forward in the decades to come.Stay tuned for more information about Draw-A-Thon, can’t wait to see you this November to help us celebrate 20 years of creation in and with our community!”
