No One Wants to Work Anymore is a collection of personal and non-fiction comics about labor in the post–pandemic, climate crisis reality. Weaving together research, first hand experiences, political theory, and cute flower people cartoons, these comics investigate how living through the pandemic altered the way we see our jobs and ask what alternatives for waged work could be possible in a more sustainable, liberated future.
Issy Manley is a cartoonist and educator based in New Orleans, who makes non-fiction comics about work and other systems that shape our lives. Her comics have appeared in The Nib, The Guardian, Popula, The Lily and Narratively, among other places. She holds an MFA in Comics from the Center for Cartoon Studies in Vermont.
