Under-sea-level Collaborative Comics Making in New Orleans

CO-MIXing samples comics publications and events in New Orleans that have been brought about by collaborative efforts of some form: TURD (1990’s); dafa FUNGUS (early 2000’s); FUN FUN (2008); and the more recent FEAST yer Eyes; Ink Tank; Your Friends Make Comics, and Not Your Mother’s Meatloaf.  Participants and organizers of these projects will present individual and ‘jam’ works which, in addition to original ink drawings from print publications, will include an installation by FUN FUN organizer Otto Splotch and a 24-hour jam comic created (live) by Pierre Pre$$ure and Dr. Lance Boyle.

FEAST Patron Picture Parade Auction

FEAST Yer Eyes 2014, a free New Orleans comix anthology edited by Caesar Meadows will be on the street early this summer, and you could be a proud owner of one of this year’s original hand drawn Patron Pictures.

The silent auction kicks off at 6pm. Patron Pictures will be on display until 9pm. Bids will start at $15 and the Buy It now price for them is $40. Pictures must be claimed and paid for that night between 9pm and 10pm. They may be paid for with cash or debit/credit card. No checks.
