Reader: Tom Andes’ writing has appeared in Best American Mystery Stories 2012, Witness, Guernica, Great Jones Street. Xavier Review, and numerous other publications. His book reviews and interviews with writers and musicians have appeared widely. He lives in New Orleans, where he works as a freelance writer and editor, teaches for the New Orleans Writers Workshop, which he co-founded, and moonlights as a country singer. Intermittently, he hosts a monthly fiction night at Blood Jet Poetry Series, which was founded and is hosted by Megan Burns. You can find more at the sporadically updated tomandes.com.
Reader: Elle Magnuson is an emerging poet and hails from Birmingham, Alabama. She has previously published pieces in the Kenyon Review Online. Her poem, “Gulf Coastal Plain” won the GCACWT Student Writing Competition Award April, 2018, and is forthcoming in the Appalachian Review. She holds an MFA in Poetry from the University of New Orleans, and teaches English composition at Delgado Community College.
