RM220 presents Bradley Bazzle and Adrian Van Young

RM220 will host Bradley Bazzle and Adrian Van Young at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Antenna, 3718 St. Claude Ave. Bazzle will read from his first novel, Trash Mountain, which won the Red Hen Press Fiction Award, judged by Steve Almond.

Bradley Bazzle’s short stories appear in Copper Nickel, Web Conjunctions, Epoch, Phoebe, New England Review, Bad Penny Review, and elsewhere, and have won awards from Third Coast and The Iowa Review. He grew up in Dallas, Texas, and has an MFA from Indiana University. More recently, he completed a PhD in English at the University of Georgia, where he taught writing. He lives in Athens, Georgia, with his wife and daughter.

The Man Who Noticed Everything, Adrian Van Young‘s first book of fiction, won Black Lawrence Press’ 2011 St. Lawrence Book Award. His fiction and non- fiction have been published or are forthcoming in Gigantic, Electric Literature’s Recommended Reading, The American Reader, Black Warrior Review, The Collagist, The Believer, VICE, Slate, and The New Yorker, among others. His first novel, Shadows in Summerland, was published in 2016 from ChiZine Publications. Van Young teaches writing at Tulane University and Bard Early College in New Orleans, LA. He received his B.A. in English from Vassar College, and his MFA in fiction from Columbia University, where he formerly taught as well. He lives in New Orleans with his wife Darcy and son Sebastian.
