The Impakt Organization (Utrecht, NL) presents critical and creative views on contemporary media culture and audiovisual arts in an interdisciplinary context. Originating from the format of a media festival since 1988, Impakt has grown to be a year-round operation with urgent themes at the core of its presentations. Within events, a residency program and the annual festival, Impakt aims to identify shifting paradigms in transglobal culture, by focusing on the triangular relationship between society, media culture and arts.  To this end Impakt organizes the annual Impakt Festival, this year taking place from 30 October-3 November, with  exhibitions, net art, screenings, lectures and music. Next to this, the Panorama Program shows a non-thematic screening of the most remarkable single channel videos from the past two years.
