Multitalented poet and performer Mong-Lan to read at UNO Nov. 19
Poet, artist, singer, tango dancer, and general creative dynamo Mong-Lan will give a reading at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in room 201 of the Liberal Arts Building on UNO’s Lakeside Campus (here’s a map).
Mong-Lan is the author, most recently, of One Thousand Minds Brimming: Poems and Art. Her writing has been widely anthologized in places like Best American Poetry; her paintings and photographs have been displayed in the Capitol House in Washington, D.C., the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, and in galleries around the world; she has been a Stegner Fellow at Stanford University and a Fulbright Fellow in her native Vietnam; and today she splits her time between the United States and Buenos Aires, where she dances, sings, and teaches tango.
This event is free and open to the public and will include a brief reception afterward (that means free wine).
