Open Call: Comic Books & Graphic Novels

Antenna is pleased to announce our open call in search of unpublished works of Sequential Art, Comic Books, or Graphic Novels ! Pictured here is a variety of works published in this series. which you can check out at: https://squareup.com/store/antennaworks/

Submission Deadline November 30, 2018

Submission Fee: $20. Add $15 to get a copy of the winning book mailed to you after publication.

Submissions can be either fully fleshed out, in process, or in the incubation stage. Publication can be sized 9×12″ or smaller with no page count restrictions, full color or B&W. Depending on the size, books will either be staple or glue bound.

Though we are open to all styles of work, we suggest you familiarize yourself with Antenna’s publications before submitting. We encourage writers and artists from all backgrounds to submit, with a commitment to publishing prominent voices, as well as publishing first books and lesser-known authors and artists, particularly those who interpret ideas through the lens of New Orleans or have a connection to the city.

Selected projects will receive:
-$500 honorarium (to be split among the authors/artists/collaborators)
-Antenna will provide layout and design assistance if needed.
-A print edition of 300 will be made under the Antenna::Paper Machine imprint. 50 free copies will be given to the authors (additional copies can be gotten by the author at wholesale cost). If the title is reprinted, authors will recieve $1 per book royalty paid annually.
-Author retains rights to all work.
