PPP Funding for Artists
This is an opportunity specifically for practicing creators to learn more about getting funding through the Paycheck Protection Plan (PPP). We want to make sure that individual artists know about the opportunity to receive a forgivable loan, particularly if they are individual creators that get a portion of their income from 1099 / Self Employed / Independent Contractor income. What’s been a fairly recent change is that the SBA is allowing micro-lenders like Paypal, Square, Quickbooks, Kabbage amongst others to provide these loans (which could be totally forgiven). These lenders have made it very easy to apply if you don’t have a relationship with a bank, or even if you do!
Shana M. griffin, Antenna Associate Director, will host a conversation Tuesday, May 26, at noon, specifically walking through her experience applying personally with Square. And hopefully answer any other lingering questions that folks may have about the process for individual creators. If you can’t make it, feel free to check out the recording above of the last group conversation organized in collaboration with the Arts Council and Prospect.
PLEASE NOTE: we are only sharing the ZOOM link upon request to prevent Zoombombing/trolling, so please email shana@antenna.works if you would like to attend.
