What’s Left
bySecond Saturday openings moved to THIRD Saturday. Stay safe!
In a public school classroom with cinderblock walls and in-progress paintings covering every available surface, artist Tracey Bullington sat down with a group of her high school students who had each immigrated to the United States and asked “What is the most memorable object that you left behind?”
Then Tracey Bullington used the descriptions within her students’ stories to reimagine these objects as multicolor woodblock prints, originally made as gifts for each student. This exhibition presents
the complete collection of prints along with related work that explores narratives of loss and memory within the context of education.
