Blood Jet Fiction Night with Peyton Burgess and Alison Barker

The Blood Jet Poetry Series will host Peyton Burgess and Alison Barker for their Fiction Night on Wednesday, November 16, at 8 p.m. at B.J.’s (4301 Burgundy).

Peyton Burgess lives with his wife and son in New Orleans where he teaches composition and creative writing at Loyola and works in the Monroe Library. He is the author of the short story collection, The Fry Pans Aren’t Sufficing. His writing has appeared in Salon, Chicago Quarterly Review, New Orleans Review, Banango Street, Fiction Southeast, and 3:AM Magazine, among others.

Alison Barker is a native of Wheaton, Maryland. She has lived in southern Louisiana for ALMOST TEN YEARS. Where did the time go? She likes her students, nutritional fads, and dancing alone. You can read stories and other things she’s written at barkeralison.com. She is working on her first novel.
