Garden District Books presents James Nolan

James Nolan presents Flight Risk at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, at Garden District Book Shop (2727 Prytania Street).

In Flight Risk, James Nolan, a fifth-generation New Orleans native, offers an intimate portrait of both his insular hometown and his generation’s counterculture.

James Nolan is a widely published fiction writer, poet, essayist, and translator. Recent books include You Don’t Know Me: New and Selected Stories, winner of the 2015 Independent Publishers Gold Medal in Southern Fiction; and the novel Higher Ground, which was awarded a William Faulkner/Wisdom Gold Medal. He has taught at universities in San Francisco, Florida, Barcelona, Madrid, and Beijing, as well as in New Orleans.
