The Artists’ Entrance at Southport Hall

The Artists’ Entrance at Southport Hall will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, at the Southport Hall Live Music & Party Hall (200 Monticello Ave).

The evening will spotlight three very talented artists in the Visual, Literary, and Performing Arts: Kevin Thompson, Cheryse Fantine-Christine Williams, and Bob Durand (respectively).

Writers and musicians are also invited to join in their open mic portions of the evening to read and/or perform their original works.

Kevin Thompson, influenced by music, technology, video games and magic, creates art that bridges the gap. Drawing since he was twelve years old, he uses similar influences that first pushed him towards making art. The majority of Kevin’s works are pencil and marker; creating fine, detailed line work with vibrant color combinations. He graduated from University of New Orleans with a B.A. in Fine Arts in the Fall of 2017.

A New Orleans native and graduate of Delgado Community College, where she studied American Sign Language, Cheryse Fantine-Christine Williams will read her poems.

Bob Durand is a Senior Administrator at Tulane University School of Medicine. He received his Masters and a Bachelors in Journalism from Loyola University New Orleans.
