The Blue House Reading Group

The Blue House Reading Group will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, at 1700 S. Rampart Street.

Each month we take turns sending out a short creative piece—a story, poem, essay, book excerpt, graphic novel, you name it. The piece can be your own work-in-progress or something from your favorite author or website. Either way, our goal is to come together, have meaningful conversations, and grow as readers and writers.

For our November discussion, Alex Johnson will be sharing “Separating Hate from Heritage in the Lies They Told Us,” an essay he wrote in the wake of the August 12 Charlottesville attack: http://bittersoutherner.com/folklore-project/separating-hate-from-heritage-charlottesville/
