Fall 2013 community writing courses at the Walker Percy Center
The Walker Percy Center has announced its community writing courses for Fall 2013, offering aspiring writers a great way to hone skills (at whatever level) and a reason to keep writing in their spare time.
The classes cater to a wide range of genre and writing styles, including fiction, flash fiction, creative essay writing, and poetry. The current teacher roster lists Institute veteran and author of Finn McCool’s Football Club Stephen Rea and New Orleans Review fiction editor Peyton Burgess, as well as local writers Vince Cellucci and Tom Andes.
Classes run for eight weeks and are open to adults (21+) not currently enrolled as full-time students.
