Deep.Down.Dirty – An Exploration of Southern Female Sexuality, begins October 10 at Antenna Gallery at 3161 Burgundy in the New Orleans Bywater. Representing the work of eight female artists, Deep.Down.Dirty. explores the innate dualities of female sexual identity that arise from coming of age in the Deep South. The artists on display include Helen Maurene DEEP. DOWN. DIRTY.

California Dreaming

Sommeil: A Concert for Sleep

Tanner Menard, Antenna Gallery and Experimedia Records presents Sommeil: A Concert for Sleep, an international collaborative experiment. Sommeil will be an all-night event beginning at 10:00 pm on Saturday April 11th and ending on Sunday April 12th at 7:00 am. Participants are asked to slowly fall asleep while live ambient and environmental music is performed through the night by Tanner Menard.

Pop Druid

Artist and Filmmaker David Dixon’s recent work will be on view at Antenna Gallery for one month, opening on Saturday March 14th at 7:00 PM. The exhibition, Pop Druid, includes a feature film and an eclectic mix of painting, sculpture, video, and photography. Antenna is pleased to announce “The Paperworks”, new and recent works on paper by Patrick Cronin. An opening reception with the artist present will be held Saturday, February 14, 2009, from 6-9 pm.
